FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has hit back at the growing criticism surrounding reports that his children received land allocations.
He stated, “My children are Nigerians, not Ghanaians. They have the same right as any other citizen to own land in this country. Let’s not twist the law or turn this into a political game.”
This strong response comes as public outrage mounts over allegations that Wike has given prime land in Abuja to his children. Critics are raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest and misuse of power, while Wike maintains that it’s their right as Nigerian citizens.
Nigerians are split on this issue: Some believe he’s justified—citizenship brings rights. Others contend that those in public office should exercise restraint and uphold transparency.
