Local Govt Chairman In Niger State, Danlami Dies In Ghastly Motor Accident

The Chairman of Katcha Local Government Area in Niger State, Danlami Abdullahi Saku, has died in a tragic motor accident along the Minna-Suleja-Abuja road.

it was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, as he was on his way to Abuja for an official event.

Muazu Hamidu Jantabo, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, confirmed Saku’s death in a statement released on Wednesday.

He went on to praise Saku’s contributions, noting, “Hon. Saku was a committed leader whose dedication and service to the development of Katcha Local Government will be remembered for years to come.”

“It is with deep sadness but total submission to the will of Allah that I, on behalf of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, send my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and people of Katcha Local Government Area over the sudden and tragic loss of the Chairman, Hon. Danlami Abdullahi Saku.
