Insecurity: They’re Not Just Picking Those Children Without Sponsors—Pastor Ibiyoime

Pastor Ibiyoime has raised concerns over Nigeria’s worsening insecurity situation and the credibility of key national institutions, including the electoral body and the judiciary.

On insecurity, he questioned the pattern of kidnappings in the country and suggested possible hidden influences behind the incidents.

“They’re not just picking those children without sponsors. All the politicians behind it, if they can’t pick children and show their pictures, do you know by even DSS kind of work, they will know where the people are. So how come there’s an invisible hand behind it? Because DSS can pick if you are calling from anywhere, they will know the spot where you are. So how come in Nigeria nobody is ever caught?”

He urged Nigerians not to remain silent in the face of injustice.

“Don’t see evil and close your mouth. Never be a part of evil.”

On elections, he reaffirmed his intention to vote but called for accountability from INEC and the judiciary, saying public trust in both institutions has been weakened.

“With anger I said I’m not going to vote, but I will vote because it is my legitimate right to vote. But I want to appeal to two sets of people not to disappoint us, judiciary and INEC. Because they have disappointed us.”

He also criticized inconsistencies in judicial decisions across the country, warning that it undermines confidence in the legal system.

“Before the hope of a former man is to go to judiciary. Now you will see law interpreted like one law in one state is different from another state making Judiciary will look like a child’s play.”

He concluded by warning against political interference in institutions, stressing that while politicians may fail, institutions must remain strong and independent for the country to progress.
