Drama as England’s World Cup Boots, Training Equipments Is Stolen in Kansas City, USA

England’s World Cup preparations have been rocked by a security breach after several match boots and training equipment were stolen before the team’s first training session in Kansas City.

The theft reportedly occurred while equipment was being transported from England’s pre-tournament base in Florida to their training camp at Swope Soccer Village in Missouri. Among the missing items were boots belonging to some of England’s star players, as well as official tournament balls and other training gear.

Kansas City police have launched an investigation into the incident and confirmed that two suspects have been taken into custody.

“Two subjects of interest were taken into custody pending further investigation,” a police spokesperson told The Guardian.

Despite the setback, manager Thomas Tuchel’s squad is scheduled to hold its first training session at the Kansas City base on Saturday. The Football Association declined to comment on the matter but is expected to work closely with local authorities in an effort to recover the stolen equipment.

The incident comes just days before England’s opening Group L clash against Croatia in Dallas on Wednesday, creating an unexpected distraction for a team aiming to end a 60-year wait for major international silverware.
